Mike Johnson has worked for CCX Media - formerly Northwest Community Television since it began operations in 1982. Mike serves as Executive Director of both a non profit organization CCX Media and a Government Joint Powers Agency the Northwest Suburbs Cable Communications Commission (NWSCCC).

Mike reports to a 15 member board for CCX Media and an 18 member Commission. Both entities serve nine municipalities in the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis serving a population base of 340,000. The professional staff produces daily community news, public affairs, municipal productions and high school sports and community events coverage. There is a separate professional staff managing Community Create operations which is open 7 days a week for public use. Mike is a board member on the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) and has served as a board member for the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) and served 2 separate terms as a board member of the Minnesota Association of Telecommunications Administrators (MACTA). Mike Johnson previously served as an elected official as a city councilmember and school board member and is most grateful to be serving with a very supportive CCX Media Board of Directors and an extremely talented and professional staff that he is honored to work with each day. CCX Media just completed a strategic planning process for long term sustainability which is absolutely critical in this ever changing media environment.
