Zipporah Mesesi emigrated from Kenya to the United States in 2001.
Zipporah taught the Swahili language for 14 years and was a recording artist in Kenya prior to moving to Minnesota. In June of 2010 Zipporah attended her first class at Northwest Community Television-CCX Media in Brooklyn Park. Shortly thereafter she started recording "The Zipporah Mesesi Swahili Show". So far she has produced 85 one hour programs. In addition, Zipporah is the Director and Editor of a one hour show called "Season to Season" which is a program that focuses on Health, Nature and Music. In 2012 Zipporah coordinated a visit and tour of media professionals from Africa to assist in exchanging ideas on the importance of community media. Zipporah Mesesi was appointed to the Northwest Community Television Board of Directors in 2014 and has been featured as an outstanding volunteer. Zipporah enjoys the learning opportunities that are available at state and national conferences for the ACM and NATOA and their local chapters and is very honored to be asked to speak at the ACM conference.
